A little from Nepal
Nepal is a landlocked state of 30 million people between the two largest states in Asia, India and China. Despite its small size, Nepal, located at the foot of the Himalayas, is by nature one of the most diverse countries in the world. The northern mountain range is home to eight of the world’s ten highest peaks, and when you arrive in the south, Nepal’s terrain turns into savannahs — with breathtaking scenery in between.
Nepal’s culture could be described as a unique blend of India and Tibet, and of course the country’s food culture has also been influenced by both of its neighbors. Like its nature, Nepal’s population is very diverse – the country’s population is made up of 102 ethnic peoples who speak a total of about 92 different languages, but Nepali is a common language. The main religion practiced by about 80% of the population is Hinduism, but Buddhism is also a prominent part of Nepalese culture.
